He served in many and varied departmental, pastoral posts, and contributed to Union, Conference, School, and Community boards and committees in the South and North Bahamas Conferences respectively. Prior to joyfully accepting the call to the Southeastern Conference in Florida to pastor the Maranatha and Mt. Olive churches, Dr. Bain was the Senior Pastor of the New Life and Tabernacle of Joy S.D.A. Churches, within the Greater New York Conference in Bronx, NY. Alongside these responsibilities, he recently pioneered the planting of the MYGEN S.D.A. Church in Manhattan, New York, the first Cafè church in New York City. Dr. Bain currently serves as the Senior Pastor of the Elim S.D.A. Church in St. Petersburg, FL.

Dr. Bain is gleefully married to Tameka Monique Bain, a highly skilled Histotechnologist for the past 21 years. God blessed this nuptial union with two lovely children: Ricardo Vernon Bain II; (17 years) and Zoe-Madisson Bain; (10 years). This family enjoys each other to the fullest in sweet oneness and togetherness.
Dr. Bain's personal interests include: Playing basketball, watching sports, reading, meeting people, interacting with youth, traveling, listening to contemporary gospel music, and preaching. His favourite text is I Corinthians 13:13 "And now what continues to abide is faith, hope, and love these three; but the greatest of these is love." Accordingly, his personal philosophy of life is: "To have genuine love for God, and authentic love for all humankind!" His all time favourite quote is, "If you have been called to preach, don't stoop along the way to become a king!" (Charles Spurgeon)

Pastor Bain is EXCITED ABOUT MISSION and is committed to seeing many more souls accept Jesus Christ and be ready for His return.

The book Evangelism page 115 paragraph 2 says, The formation of small companies as a basis of Christian effort is a plan that has been presented before me by One who cannot err. If there is a large number in the church, let the members be formed into small companies, to work not only for the church members but for unbelievers also.

Join us as we venture on this 3 part training series beginning Sunday June 20th at 5 pm learning how to effectively grow the church.
